The body of a man who was swept away by flood waters in Arima has been retrieved.
The body was reportedly found in a river close near O’Meara Road off the Churchill Roosevelt Highway.
CCTV footage of the man, reportedly a street dweller, being swept away by flood waters went viral on Monday.
The man tried to grab onto a railing at the side of the drain while two men also stopped their vehicle in an attempt to rescue him.
The Hunters Search and Rescue Team, led by Captain Vallence Rambharat, along with police and Local Government officials, embarked on a search for the man on Tuesday morning.
