PM Rowley Defends Travel Delegations

Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley has chastised the Opposition and the media for making a “scandal” out of the Prime Minister’s travel delegations over the past few years.

Speaking at a Post Cabinet Media Conference on Thursday, he said the 19 delegations’ trips at a cost of $10 million was significantly less than that of the previous People’s Partnership Government. But more so, he argued that all of his trips were essential in furthering T&T, noting that he is the Number One salesman for this country.

Dr. Rowley said all of his visits has been quite beneficial to this country including close dealing with the United States, a trip to Australia that led to the purchase of Cape Class Vessels, and several others that led to agreement in the energy sector.
