11 Athletes To Represent T&T At World Athletics Championships

While we celebrate the 2008 4x100M Relay Team receiving their Gold medals, 11 athletes have been chosen to represent this country at the World Athletics Championships from July 15th in Eugene, Oregon.

Among the men, Jerod Elcock will face the starters in the 100, and Eric Harrison in the 200 Metres. Jereem Richards will contest the 200M, as well as form part of the 4x400M team, with Dwight St. Hillaire in the individual 400 and 4×400 Relay. The other members of the 4x400M team include Asa Guevara, Shakeem Mc Kay, and Kashief King. Keshorn Walcott will be looking for the one international medal that his eluded him to date in the Javelin.

Amongst the women, Michelle-Lee Ahye will line up in the 100, Portious Warren the Shot Put, and Tyra Gittens the Long Jump.

The team will be managed by Dexter Voisin.
