Rubbish strewn on the Beetham highway… some of it burned!
This was the way some residents from the area protested a strong sewerage smell which has been persisting for over a period of time. One protester spoke to police.
The protest obstructed traffic, causing a major pile up on the Beetham highway. There were reports that the blockages extended to the placement of rubbish on the Priority Bus Route.
Police were on the scene trying to clear debris and restore order.
