Government will hold a three-day retreat in Tobago this week where discussions will be centred on planning and future spending since changes have to come.
Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley made the announcement last week.
During the retreat, discussions will include a focus on subsidies and channelling some of the US 6 hundred and $44 million funding which Trinidad & Tobago received from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to assist small and medium businesses’ recovery efforts.
Additionally, he said the retreat will also hopefully examine some of the issues of the “old economy” and the necessary new economy.
