Campbell Takes Silver At Elite Pan Am Track Cycling Championships

Teniel Campbell took her second medal of the Elite Pan Am Track Cycling Championships in Lima, Peru today, winning Silver in the Women’s 3 kilometre Individual Pursuit.

Campbell smashed the National Women’s 3 Kilometre Individual Pursuit record with a time of 3:37.939 in the qualifying round this morning.

Along with the record, Campbell topped the leaderboard ahead of this evening’s Final. However in the final against Canada’s Adele Day Gannes, Campbell was just outpaced and added a silver to her earlier Bronze medal.

Elsewhere on the track, Nicholas Paul qualified fastest and set a new track record of 9.444 seconds at the National Sports Village Velodrome in qualifying.

The Team Sprint and Keirin Gold Medalist and three-time Commonwealth Games Medalist will ride at 7:25pm TT time for a Elite Pan Am triple crown.
