Allrounder Yannic Cariah has suffered a nasal fracture after being struck in the face during a West Indies training session in Zimbabwe.
Cariah was injured when he received a nasty blow to the face during a routine session on the field. The all-rounder will remain in Zimbabwe with the team and be reassessed in the coming days.
Cariah had shown signs of strong form in the Cricket World Cup Qualifier warm-up matches, taking 4 for 46 against Scotland and then backing that up with another four-wicket haul against the UAE.
The 30 year old has played eight ODIs since making his West Indies debut against New Zealand in August last year.
