The Caribbean Zonal Volleyball Association’s under 19 and under 21 Championships served off on Thursday at the Pleasantville Indoor Sporting Arena, with a win for team TTO’s Under 21s.
In their opening encounter against the US virgin islands, T&T had a nervous start winning the first set 25-21. They lost the second 21-25, took the third, lost the fourth and eventually closed the game with a 15-9 last set, to finish the five set match 3-2.
However, their second clash against Jamaica went the other way during day two of competition. The first two sets were closely contested with the hosts going down 25-21 and 25-23. The green and gold went all out in the third and final set, defeating T&T 25-13 and take the game with three clean sets. Matches continue daily ending on Monday July 11th.
