Carifta Games Begin This Weekend

The hard work and preparation have been put in and come Saturday, the 50th Carifta Games will begin at the Thomas A Robinson International Stadium in The Bahamas.

Following tonight’s Opening Ceremony, the action gets going on the track and the field from 9am with Trinidad and Tobago represented by a 60-strong contingent of athletes.

Among the athletes in action early on Saturday will be Tenique Vincent in the Girls Heptathlon and High Jump, while the preliminaries of the 100 will see Alexxe Henry, Symphony Patrick, Kadeem Chinapoo, and Trevaughn Stewart all in action in the Under-17 category.

In the Under-20 Division, Reneisha Andrews, Sanaa Fredrick, Jaden De Souza and Revell Webster will all vie for a place in Saturday evening’s Final.

The 400 Semis will have Jaen Clement and Makelan Woods in the Under-17 and in the Under-20’s Sole Fredrick Rasheeda Cave and Nakeil Denoon will all represent team TTO.
