Carter Tops The Standings

Dylan Carter tops the Men’s standings after capturing two short form golden hat-tricks in the first two legs of competition in the 2022 FINA Swimming World Cup.

On Sunday evening, Carter won his third Gold of the second leg in Toronto to remain unbeaten over 50 metres. After qualifying fastest in a time of 22.71 seconds, Carter completed another sweep of the 50 meter programme at the Toronto Pan Am Sport Centre, winning the Butterfly in 22.28 seconds. Chad Le Clos of South Africa was second in 22.45 seconds and Italy’s Thomas Ceccon third in 22.60.

With the win, Carter finished third in Toronto with 57.2 points and now tops the leader board on 114.5 points overall.

The third leg of the 2022 World Cup is scheduled to begin on Thursday.
