There is a reported increase in hospital and Accident and Emergency occupancy levels within the parallel healthcare system.
During Wednesday’s Weekly Ministry of Health Press Briefing, Principal Medical Officer Dr. Maryam Abdool-Richards disclosed that 156 persons are currently receiving treatment for COVID 19 within the parallel healthcare system, representing a total national occupancy rate of 25%.
Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh, assured there will be continuous monitoring of all data as the Ministry keeps a close eye on hospital and Accident and Emergency admissions.
