The Jamaica Tallawahs move to the top of the Republic Bank CPL standings, after a comprehensive win over the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots last evening.
Taking first hit, the Patriots were dealt a severe blow from the arm of Salman Irshad, who bagged 4 wickets for 27 runs, including three wickets in a single over. They closed their innings on 156 for 9 with Joshua Da Silva top scoring with 36.
The Jamaica Tallawahs had a robust opening stand of 52, mainly from the bat of skipper Brandon King. He eventually top scored with a 33 ball 67. Shamarh Brooks assisted with 38 not out as the Tallawahs celebrated victory, finishing on 157 for 2 in 16.3 overs.
The St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots are once more in action this evening versus the Guyana Amazon Warriors at 7pm ECT.
