CPL Responds To List Of Prohibited Items For 2023 Season

Following a recent post from its official account on prohibited items for 2023 Caribbean Premier League matches, thousands of fans were left perplexed as to why such stringent measures are being taken.

TTT Sport reached out to the CPL and an official said it was nothing out of the ordinary.

“The prohibited items that were shared for matches at the Queen’s Park Oval and Brian Lara Cricket Academy is the same list that has been in place for CPL matches for a number of years, following established international standards and advice from local safety and security experts. All of those items listed are prohibited from the ground to keep patrons safe and ensure that everyone at CPL matches has a safe and enjoyable experience. CPL remains as family friendly as ever. Folks are able to bring in things that are not on that list as they have in the past.”

The Trinidad leg of the Republic Bank CPL begins on September 5th 2023.
