Crime Round-Up: Tobago Records 9th Murder, Man Shot Dead In Ste. Madeleine

One man is in police custody in connection with Tobago’s 9th murder.

Dead is 17 year old Precious Wills of Crown Point, Tobago. Wills attended the Mason Hall Secondary School.

According to police, an altercation ensued at the Up Top bar in Crown Point around 3am on Sunday. Loud explosions were heard and the victim along with another young woman were found on the ground nursing gunshot wounds. They were taken to hospital where Wills succumbed to her injuries. Police say the two were not involved in the altercation.

And in Ste. Madeleine, police responded to a report of loud explosions at a home in George Street and discovered one man dead in his vehicle.

Forty one year old Dario Sandiford, an employee of the Water and Sewage Authority, was discovered motionless by officers in his vehicle.

Reports indicate that at around 6:30pm on Saturday, the victim was reversing his vehicle in his yard when he was approached by someone clad in a dark hoodie. The person fired several shots at the victim in his car and ran away across the Manahambre Road.

Investigations are continuing.
