Delay In Migrant Children Attending Primary School

Venezuelan Migrants living in Trinidad and Tobago will have to wait a little longer before their children can be admitted into school.

The Catholic Board of Education had agreed to accept migrant students at the start of the 2023/2024 school term.

In July, Foreign and Caricom Affairs Minister Dr. Amery Browne said Government was advancing policy to integrate migrant children into the primary school system.

On Monday, Minister of Education Dr. Nyan Gadsby-Dolly indicated there are legal requirements to be met.
