Grenada’s Prime Minister designate Dickon Mitchell was sworn in this afternoon in a ceremony at the Grenada Trade Centre.
Mr. Dickon’s National Democratic Congress (NDC) defeated the New National Party (NNP), led by the former Prime Minister Dr. Keith Mitchell at the polls on Thursday, winning nine out of 15 seats.
Following the victory on Thursday night, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) declared today (Friday) a public holiday. Saturday and Sunday have also been designated as National Days of Prayer and Thanksgiving.
