A DJ stabbed over the weekend succumbed to injuries on Wednesday morning.
Police reports say that on Saturday, 44 year old Rishi Mastay of Cassim Trace, Cunaripo, Sangre Grande was at the D Junction Bar in Manzanilla where he was stabbed several times by a Biche man. TTT News understands that Mastay was stabbed for non-compliance to play a specific genre of music. He was stabbed three times in the back, neck, and face.
The incident stemmed from an argument Mastay had with a 30 year old man. Police say the man wanted the DJ to play ‘GAZA’ music but the DJ refused. The man later pursued the DJ outside and stabbed him about the body.
Mastay passed away at hospital early this morning.
This latest homicide pushes the murder toll to 297.
