Investigations continue into the origin of a fire that partially destroyed the Back to Basics Supermarket on Independence Square on Saturday.
Up to 10am, fire officers were still working to dampen the fire and put it out completely. Fire Chief Arnold Bristow told TTT News several appliances responded to the blaze in the capital city.
The Fire Service prevented the blaze from spreading to the SWMCOL Headquarters and other structures nearby.
Fire Chief Bristow said three people were saved from the burning building.
The damage to the supermarket and its contents are valued at approximately $10 million.
