Fashion Industry A Catalyst For Economic Diversification

The Government of Trinidad and Tobago has identified the local fashion industry as a catalyst for economic diversification, employment creation, and foreign exchange generation.

On Thursday, Minister of Trade and Industry, Paula Gopee-Scoon, distributed 50 Lutterloh System packages to participants of the Jimmy Aboud pattern-making sewing class held earlier this year.

The donation of the pattern making kit to local tailors and seamstresses is aimed at contributing to business growth, employment creation and revenue generation in this sector.

Minister Gopee-Scoon says she saw the economic advantage in making the kits available for the participants of the pattern-making sewing class.
