Works Minister Rohan Sinanan is blaming the significant amount of flooding in the Caroni and Bamboo area due to a ‘significant breach’ of the embankment by an alleged resident.
Minister Sinanan along with Minster of Rural Development and Local Government Faris Al Rawi toured the Bamboo number 2 area on Tuesday and found three breaches.
Minister Sinanan added that action would be taken on the individual if enough evidence is found.
Minister Sinanan also pointed out that the bus route was effectively opened to ALL motorists from 6pm to ease the traffic burden. He said this time was chosen to allow the mass transit system to complete its journey, before allowing access to the public.
