Former Lennox Petroleum Workers Demand Owed $$$

The Oilfields Workers’ Trade Union is claiming that an energy company has refused to pay its former workers, despite a court order several years ago.

The OWTU’s Chief Education and Research Officer, Ozzi Warwick, engaged in a protest with former Lennox Petroleum workers on Tuesday.

He said the workers have been vocal over the years about the issue and even won a judgment against the company, ordering that workers be given retroactive monies owed to them.

Despite a timeline for workers to be paid, they are yet to receive these outstanding payments.

Mr. Warwick also claimed that the workers were dismissed in 2017 for standing up for a “safety issue.”

Calls to Lennox Petroleum for a response on the issue went unanswered up to news time.
