A four month old baby was found dead by her father on Saturday.
According to police reports, at around 1am, the man went to check on his daughter and found her asleep.
He later woke up at 6am to prepare tea and found her unresponsive.
Shortly after, he contacted the Emergency Health Services personnel and the baby was conveyed to the Sangre Grande Hospital Accident and Emergency Department. A team of doctors made attempts to resuscitate the baby, however, at 7:15am, the baby was pronounced dead.
TTT News understands that there were no marks of violence on the baby’s body.
