Teenage phenom Chloe Fraser became a double champion after taking the Women’s Singles title at the T&T Table Tennis Association’s Seniors Tournament last evening.
Fraser beat QPCC’s Women’s Doubles champ 11-4, 11-6, 11-9, 11-9 Imani Taylor-Edwards in the Senior Final after securing the Junior crown over the weekend and once again put her name in lights.
The Arima Hawks duo of Reeza Burke and Arun Roopnarine emerged victorious from the earlier Men’s Doubles Final.
Across the table from QPCC’s Derron Douglas and Yuvraaj Dookram, Burke and Roopnarine had a fight on their hands. After winning the first set 11-8, they went down two sets to one as Douglas Dookram won the next two 11-5, 11-5. In the end though, they took the title three sets to two with a 11-5 fourth set win and a close run 11-10 deciding set.
