Government, Disaster Agencies On Alert

The Trinidad and Tobago Metrological Service has discontinued an earlier issued Adverse Yellow Level Weather Alert. The country is now on Green level.

Confirmation came this afternoon from the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service which issued a discontinuation of the previous alert which took effect on Sunday morning. In a post to its social media platforms, the Met Service said the most impactful weather has dissipated and settled conditions are present in most areas. It added that cloudy conditions will however persist into the night-time with light to moderate showers and/or the odd thunderstorm possible this afternoon and overnight.

Earlier on Sunday, a Ministerial disaster team was activated in anticipation of three weather systems.
