Chronic kidney disease is estimated to affect more than 850 million people worldwide and resulted in over 3.1 million deaths in 2019.
That’s according to the World Kidney Alliance which says kidney disease if left unaddressed, is projected to be the 5th leading cause of years of life lost by 2040.
