As tensions continue to rise in troubled Caribbean nation Haiti, local Non Governmental Organisation ‘Is There Not A Cause?’ (ITNAC) is one of the many civil society groups on the island whose members were affected by gang violence, theft, and intimidation.
Team Leader of ITNAC, Avonelle Hector Joseph, reported that the NGO’s Country Manager was forced to flee the country due to threats to his life.
Ms. Hector Joseph also reported that a secondary depot was also raided and living quarters completely plundered. Other solar-powered appliances and special furniture located at the NGO’s base was spared.
