Law Association Calls On AG Armour To Resign

Members of the Law Association are calling for the immediate resignation of Attorney General Reginald Armour SC.

The members wish to summon a Special General Meeting of the Association to consider a Motion to express no confidence in Mr. Armour as Attorney General of Trinidad and Tobago and his resignation from the position.

According to the Law Association’s statement, serious allegations were made against the Attorney General in the public domain which can undermine public confidence in the legal profession.

In a previous statement to the media, Attorney General Reginald Armour said he recused himself in a matter involving the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago vs Birk Hillman Consultants, Steve Ferguson, Raul Guiterrez Jr., and Brian Kuei Tung.

The matter is currently before the Miami Dade County Court, 11th Judicial Circuit Court, Florida.
