Making Port Of Spain A Safer City

The Head of the Port of Spain Division of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service has made a commitment to ensure the safety of citizens in the capital city.

During a Media Briefing at the Police Administration Building earlier today, Senior Superintendent Neil Brandon-John said the TTPS has adopted a one-city approach to policing Port of Spain since the beginning of the year. He noted that all stakeholders, including the Municipal Police, will be involved to carry out the plans agreed upon.

The Superintendent in charge of the Port of Spain City Police, Glenn Charles, said other stakeholders including the business community and private security firms had been consulted. He said they too have a purpose in the one-city approach

A communication platform has been formed to predict the behaviour of criminal elements in the city to dispatch patrol vehicles as quickly as possible to a crime scene.
