The Minister of Sport and Community Development met members of the T&T Golf team fresh off this country’s hosting of the 66th Caribbean Amateur Golf League.
Minister Shamfa Cudjoe commended the Golf Association for not just hosting events, but working with young people and communities aligned with the Ministry’s own goals.
T&T hosted the event to the tune of over $1 million, and finished second in the Hoerman Cup in one of the four tournaments hosted in Tobago over the past year and a half.
Joint top player Ryan Peters underscored the importance of Government support to their achievement.
