Ministry Considers Shorter Hunting Season

The Ministry of Agriculture, Lands and Fisheries will consider having a shorter hunting season which typically runs from for five months, from October to February.

Minister Clarence Rambharat says he has received information from hunters who are advocating for there to be an earlier end to the season. He notes there has been an issue in recent times where many animals have been have been killed while pregnant. 

The Minister adds that there will first be consultations on whether the hunting season should be cut short.
