More Precious Metal For Team TTO In San Salvador

Trinidad and Tobago’s team at the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games has now amassed 13 medals with two days remaining in the San Salvador Games.

In hockey, the men fell to a 5-1 defeat to Mexico in the Final to earn Silver after a long tournament run.

Earlier, Chess player Joshua Johnson won TTO’s 12th medal at the Games when he claimed Silver in the Men’s First Rapid Board.

In Netball, the Calypso girls will play to make it three in a row when they meet the Cayman Islands tonight at 9pm.

To news of Track and Field, and Team Trinidad and Tobago’s athletes will be in action this evening at the CAC Games in San Salvador.

On the track, reigning Indoor World Champion in the 400 Meters, Jereem Richards, will aim to add CAC Champion to his many accolades when he lines up in 9:20pm. Richards has a season’s best of 44.68 seconds over the distance.

Our relay athletes will bring tonight’s proceedings to an end on the track with the 4x100M Men’s and Women’s teams in action at 10:05pm and 10:20pm.

In the field events, at 8pm Cherisse Murray will throw for Gold in the Women’s Shot Put.

While at 9:15 pm Keshorn Walcott will also be looking to add CAC Games Gold Medallist to his resume when he throws in the Javelin Finals.
