Fourteen students of the DHWSP Technical Vocational Centre for Persons with Disabilities participated in the Tobago leg of the National Special Olympics held at the Shaw Park Recreational Ground on Thursday 19th May, 2023.
The athletes were able to stand proudly on the podium and collectively receive six Bronze, ten Silver, and eight Gold medals – a total of 24 medals in four disciplines: bocce, football, soft ball throw, and track and field.
Earlier on, two TechVoc students had participated in basketball skills during the Trinidad leg, receiving Bronze medals and taking the overall medal count to 26.
