The National Gas Company (NGC) says it is gearing up for the final installation of the pressure regulator skid package for the existing Takoradi Distribution Station in Ghana. The skid controls the supply pressure to gas users.
On Friday, executives at NGC gave Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, an update on the project being carried out.
In December 2020, NGC signed a contract with Ghana-based Integrated Logistics Bureau Limited to construct the pressure regulator skid, which would effectively enhance the reliability of the installed gas pipeline distribution infrastructure.
The prefabricated skid was assembled in Trinidad and shipped to Ghana in April 2022, and has since been installed at the Takoradi Distribution Station process plant site.
Acting CAD Supervisor at NGC, Evan Andrews, explained some of the technical details into the final installation process.
