The Government has said ‘no’ to the University of the West Indies’ proposal to increase tuition fees for the 2022/2023 school year and instead encouraged the UWI to consider alternatives.
This was revealed at Thursday’s Post Cabinet Media Briefing.
It was also revealed that there is an ongoing discussion regarding the future of the Government Assistance for Tuition Expenses (GATE) Programme.
