To news out of the Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile where Team TTO athletes were in action on the cycling track and in the pool.
The trio of Zion Pulido, Kwesi Browne, and Nicholas Paul competed in the Preliminaries of the Cycling Team Sprint. However, they finished sixth and and missed out on the medal rounds. Their compatriot, Endurance cyclist Akil Campbell, meanwhile continues his campaign.
In the pool, the news was not good for our swimmers as Cherelle Thompson and Nikoli Blackman competed in the Women’s and Men’s 50 free.
Thompson was 7th in Heat 5 in 26.32 seconds while Blackman was 4th in Heat 3 in 22.84 seconds, advancing to the B Finals of the event where he finished 4th in 22.96.
