PCA Launches Investigation Into FUL Corruption

The Police Complaints Authority is investigating reports of corrupt practices surrounding the issuing of Firearm User’s License (FUL’s).
The PCA in a media release says pursuant to Section 26 of the PCA Act Chapter 15:05, it has independently initiated an investigation into the issuance of Firearm User’s License (FUL’s) by members of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.

The PCA says as an independent oversight body, it is committed to ensuring that no Police Officer acts above the Rule of Law and is empowering the Citizenry to report incidents of police misconduct and/or criminal activity.

TTT News understands that the Police Service Commission has hired former judge Stanley John to begin the investigation into the alleged gun license racket involving the TTPS.
