The people of Coconut Drive, Morvant and environs now have the benefit of a community swimming pool in their area.
Described as a welcomed addition to the community, Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley explained that this project was very close to him and hopes that the community utilises the space fully.
The Prime Minister also noted that the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force and the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard were integral in the operations of the facility. However, he encouraged the members of the community to actively participate and take care of their new facility.
Dr. Rowley said his Government will continue to foster the growth of communities.
This community pool is the 8th such facility in the country with a 9th under construction in Maloney. The facility was officially handed over on Thursday.
