RAMPS Logistics To Introduce ‘Flying Ships’ To The Region

“Flying Ships,” the unmanned and eco-friendly vessels, are coming to the Caribbean region. This, as Ramps Logistics has signed a Letter of Intent to introduce Flying Ship Technologies to the region.

In a release on Wednesday, Ramps Logistics said the wing-in-ground effect vessels will revolutionise shipping in the region by decreasing vessel costs, significantly cutting shipping time, and reducing our carbon footprint.

These ‘Flying Ships,’ which fly close to the surface, use less fuel, and offer faster speeds.

Chief Executive Officer of Ramps Logistics, Shaun Rampersad, said the Flying Ships are ten times faster than boats and one-quarter of the cost to maintain and operate compared to planes.

The company believes the collaboration supports CARICOM’s agenda to make the trade of goods within the region more accessible.
