Rugby Clinic At Fatima Grounds

Sedbergh School coaches Simon Mulholland, Martin Speight, along with their local peers have spent the last couple days tutoring the next generation of ruggermen and women.

Jonathan O’ Connor, who began playing the sport at 16 and went on to represent this country and some of the biggest teams in the local game, said it was a great opportunity to pay it forward to 60 eager student athletes.

O ‘Connor says increased US and UK Tugby 7s scholarships are a great opportunity for the upcoming players to broaden their horizons.

New Zealand-born Mulholland agrees that rugby can be a springboard for the kids he’s worked with.

The coach was glad to be on Fatima Grounds after a year of planning and even more so to work with the raw talent on offer.

Member of Parliament for Port of Spain South, Stuart Young, was on hand to make presentations and catch up with some of his youngest constituents.
