Getting to the root of a sexual offence should be included in the sentencing of someone who commits such an offence.
This is the view of the Public defenders department. At Monday’s meeting of the Special Select Committee on The Sexual Offences Bill, 2021 Public Defender 2, Junior at the Public Defenders Department, Khadija Beddeau said a wider approach to sentencing is needed.
