Swimmer Dylan Carter Breaks National Record

Dylan Carter set a new National Record in the Semi Finals Men’s 100 Metres at the FINA World Swimming Championships in Budapest.

Carter’s time of 48.30 beat his previous time of 48.52 set in Gwangju, South Korea in July 2019.

However, the TTO swimmer was unable to advance to the Men’s 100 Metre Final with a seventh place finish in Heat 2. Earlier, in Heat 10, Carter set a new mark, 48.40 seconds before shaving a further 10 hundreths of a second off in the Semis.

Carter holds three National Freestyle Records in the 100, 200 and 400 Metres.

He next lines up in Heat 6 of the Men’s 50 Metre free on Thursday.
