The death of a mother and baby reported at the Scarborough General Hospital in Tobago is under investigation.
TTT News understands 27 year old Nadea Shangie of Speyside and her newborn baby passed away one day apart after what is believed to be medical complications.
Secretary for Health Wellness and Social Protection, Dr. Faith B.Yisreal, confirmed the deaths occurred around May 14th or May 15th. She noted no further details could be shared with the media as investigations are being conducted by the Tobago Regional Health Authority.
Meanwhile, family members said they remain confused and are seeking answers on what led to the unfortunate deaths.
