Tobago Festivals Commission Limited’s Chief Executive Officer John Arnold confirmed various carnival stakeholders received payments on Friday.
He informed the festivals commission received funds on Wednesday afternoon and were engaged in the preparation of cheques on Thursday. Mr. Arnold said this process takes time and with the large numbers of cheques all could not be ready for Friday. He noted payments will continue throughout next week.
When asked about the process being used by Festivals to inform stakeholders of when their respective payments are ready; no response was received up to news time.
