Trinidad and Tobago’s Senior National Women’s Team ended their Concacaf W campaign with a 1-0 defeat to Panama in Monterrey last evening.
Playing for a spot in the intercontinental play-off, T&T needed a win against the only other team in Group B yet to win a point. Despite their best efforts, the T&T women were unable to find the creative edge to break their goal drought in Mexico. In the 43rd minute, Panamanian winger Marta Cox scored the decisive goal – neither side could find the net in the second half.
T&T suffered three defeats and conceded 11 goals over three matches as they finished bottom of the group.
