The Men’s 4x400M Relay team will go in search of this country’s first medal at the Track and Field World Championships when they face the starters in the penultimate event on the final day of competition in Eugene, Oregon.
Competing in Heat 1 last evening, the quartet of Dwight St. Hillaire, Jereem Richards, Asa Guevarra, and Kashief King finished 4th in a Season’s Best three minutes, 2.7 seconds to advance as one of the non-automatic qualifiers.
The Final takes place at 10:35pm Trinidad and Tobago time.
Meanwhile, Tyra Gittens did not qualify for the Finals of the Women’s Long Jump. Jumping in Group B the National Record Holder’s jump of 6.44 metres saw her finish 10th, missing out on a place in the Finals.
