Trinidad and Tobago continues to call for peace and respect for the borders of all nations.
This, from Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, Dr. Amery Browne, as he addressed the Venezuela Guyana border issue.
Dr. Browne described as disturbing the calls from the Opposition for this country to take a more prominent role in the ongoing dispute.
Dr. Browne noted there is also a border dispute issue with another CARICOM country, that of Belize which is facing a claim from Guatemala for part of its territory.
