Trinidad and Tobago’s cyclists gave a valiant effort on the final day of competition at the UCI Track Nations Cup on the Cairo International Velodrome earlier today.
Nicholas Paul qualified sixth fastest, Kwesi Browne was 26th.
Paul won his 1/16th final against his Thai opponent in Heat 2.
Browne beat China’s Yu Zhou in Heat 3.
However, in the 1/8th final, both riders exited: Paul in Heat 6 and Browne in Heat 7.
Among the women, Alexi Ramirez lined up in Women’s Omnium Heat 1 but was unable to progress to the Final.
Trinidad and Tobago’s riders will return to training ahead of Round Three of the 2023 Nations Cup, carded for the 20th to 23rd of April at the Mattamy National Cycling Centre in Milton, Ontario.
