A draw was the best result Trinidad and Tobago could muster on day one of the 2022 Rugby America’s North Super 7s in Mexico City today.
T&T’s Age Grade Women pulled off the 2-2 draw with the Cayman Islands in our fourth match at UNAM’s Deportivo Alfredo Harp Helu which was a hard-fought ray of sunshine on an otherwise gloomy day.
T&T opened with the Age Grade men registering a slim 3-2 defeat to the British Virgin Islands.
They were pipped 6-5 by Mexico B and then 8-7 in the Women’s fixture versus the Mexicans
In the fifth fixture Jamaica ran out 4-2 winners over T&T’s youth men
And in the day’s final match the ladies fell to Mexico 7-5.
The red white and black will look for improvement on day two of the three day tournament.
