In news from the Pan American Women’s Hockey Challenge, T&T’s Senior Women’s Hockey team got off to a winning start after defeating the hosts 1-0 yesterday in Lima, Peru.
Brianna Govia scored a last-minute field goal to snatch the late victory, taking all the points. The win places TT in second position on the Pool Standings behind leaders Paraguay.
The T&T squad is currently competing in the Pan American Challenge where the teams are vying for two qualifying spots for the Pan American Cup.
T&T return to action from 1pm tomorrow against Paraguay and will complete the Group stages on Wednesday against Brazil
