US-Caribbean Energy Cooperation

Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, Stuart Young, says the TT Government is working with the United States Government to address the issue of climate change in the region.

Addressing energy experts at a Conference focused on the future of US-Caribbean energy cooperation on Wednesday, Minister Young addressed some of the discussions held following the Summit of the Americas.

President of Goldwyn Global Strategies, David Goldwyn, suggested that the United States improve its level of engagement in addressing energy security and climate change in the region. Mr. Goldwyn, who is also Chairman of the Atlantic Council Global Energy Center’s Energy Advisory Group, warned that the solution may not be a one-size-fits-all approach. He suggested countries find ways to alter their energy economy at scale, rather than per project, as a way to measure the scalability of the change.
